Summary

Selling or giving any firearm to someone under 21 becomes an offense.

The bill makes it an offense to sell, rent, lease, give, or offer to give any firearm to a person younger than 21, raising the line from the current under-18 rule. It touches gun sellers, private sellers, and family members, including parents, who hand a firearm to anyone under 21, because the parental-permission defense now covers only clubs and location-restricted knives given to minors. Starting September 1, 2025, such a transfer is a Class A misdemeanor, or a state jail felony if the firearm is a handgun.
