Summary

The 24-hour buyer waiting period goes away.

The bill swaps Texas's own definitions of a manufactured home for the federal definition, lets licensed retailers keep their required records outside Texas, and removes the 24-hour waiting period for buyers. It touches manufactured home retailers, licensees and the people who buy these homes. Retailers no longer have to hand over a signed contract a day before the sale or give the cost disclosure more than a day early, though a buyer with a personal emergency can still waive the right to cancel.
