Summary

Online, run by the department or an outside company.

The bill orders the Department of Family and Protective Services to set up an online registry where people can donate requested personal items for foster children, either running it itself or hiring an outside company to run it. Children entering state care or moving to a new placement get those donated items, and the items belong to the child, so neither the department nor a foster parent can take them back. The department must send the legislature a yearly report on its inventory and how many children got items, and the bill takes effect September 1, 2025.
