Summary

Nothing taller than 500 feet within five miles of the practice areas.

The bill bans building any structure taller than 500 feet within five miles of certain long-term aerobatic practice areas set by the Federal Aviation Administration on or before January 1, 2025. The ban covers only practice areas that are used for training by companies that hold Department of Defense aviation contracts, and it applies to anyone who wants to build tall structures near them. Landowners and builders near those areas lose the option to put up structures over 500 feet, starting immediately or on September 1, 2025.
