Summary

No more $1 for the first 10 pages of an already electronic document.

This bill strikes from state law the fees that district clerks charge for electronic copies of documents that are already electronic, both certified and noncertified copies. It touches anyone who requests court records from a district clerk's office, and the clerks who collect those fees. After September 1, 2025, the $1 charge for the first 10 pages and the 10-cent charge per extra page for these electronic copies are no longer on the fee list, while charges for paper copies and scanned paper documents stay the same.
