Summary

Paid from Segments 5 and 6 toll money, electronic payers only.

The bill orders the Texas Department of Transportation to set up a toll discount program for veterans who pay electronically on State Highway 130. The discount is paid for with toll money collected under the 2007 private development agreement for Segments 5 and 6 of the road, between U.S. 183 and I-10. Veterans get free or cheaper trips on those segments first, and any leftover money can cover discounts on the rest of SH 130, starting September 1, 2025.
