Summary

It now benefits spay and neuter programs in Texas.

The bill changes the state law on the animal friendly specialty license plate so it no longer has to carry the words "Animal Friendly." Instead, the law says the plate is issued to benefit spay and neuter programs in Texas, and the state still designs it with input from the Texas Humane Legislation Network. Drivers who buy this plate could see a new design without the required slogan starting September 1, 2025.
