Summary

Reports, documents and fees, filed the way the department sets.

The bill lets the state licensing commission require or allow elevator and escalator inspection reports, documents and fees to be filed electronically in a way the department sets. It touches building owners, inspectors and the state department that receives these filings. On the ground, an electronic submission now counts as the filing date for timeliness, the same as hand delivery, mail or courier.
