Summary

A private place to express breast milk, and not a multiple user bathroom.

The bill adds to the existing rule that public employers in Texas must give employees break time and a private place, other than a multiple user bathroom, to express breast milk. It requires that place to serve as a nursing room, adds a sign-in sheet run by a designated employee, and limits the room and the sheet to employees who express breast milk. Starting September 1, 2025, state and local government employers must keep a sign-in system and keep other people out of the nursing room.
