Summary

The committee analysis promises “the economic benefits.” Reimbursement rides on the tax growth the race brings.

The bill adds the FIA World Endurance Championship auto race to the state's list of events that can get money from the major events reimbursement program. It touches the organizers and host sites of that race, and the state funds that pay out under the program. After September 1, 2025, that race can qualify for state reimbursement based on the tax growth it brings in.
