Summary

MDMA, psilocybin and ketamine get a report by December 1, 2026. Treatment access stays put.

The bill orders the Department of State Health Services to study the use of MDMA, psilocybin and ketamine to treat PTSD, depression and related conditions, working with Baylor College of Medicine and a Dell Medical School research center. The department must review clinical trials, research literature and federal FDA actions, and recommend treatment guidelines and steps to make sure patients can get these therapies once the FDA approves them. A written report goes to state leaders by December 1, 2026, and the law expires September 1, 2027; nothing about treatment, access or legality changes on the ground.
