Summary

Two versions of the law merge into one.

The bill merges two existing versions of a school transfer law and adds fire fighters to the list of parents who can demand a transfer. A peace officer, servicemember, or fire fighter parent can ask the school board to move their child to another campus in the district, or to another district under an existing transfer agreement, and the board must do it. The parent picks the campus or district, and the school district does not have to provide transportation.
