Summary

The department can replace a contractor without competitive bidding after a termination.

The bill makes either side give 180 days' notice before ending a foster care contract early. This applies to single source continuum contractors and the Department of Family and Protective Services, which used to need 60 days and 30 days. When such a contract is ending, the department may hand it to a replacement contractor without competitive bidding, advertising, or proposal review.
