Summary

Chapters 808, 809, 2271 and 2274, gone. Listed companies can get state contracts again.

The bill repeals four chapters of the Government Code, 808, 809, 2271 and 2274, which the caption describes as rules about state dealings with companies that boycott or discriminate against certain entities, and also repeals Section 2400.0015. It touches companies doing business with the state and state agencies that now screen contractors and investments under those chapters, and it rewrites the comptroller's eligibility rule to drop its reference to Chapter 2271. On the ground, companies listed under the repealed chapters would no longer be blocked from state contracts or investment on that basis, effective immediately with a two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025.
