Summary

Up from 130. Fewer than 350 kids, funded as 350.

The bill raises the floor used to fund small K-12 school districts under the state school finance formula, so a district with fewer than 350 students in daily attendance is funded as if it had 350, up from 130. It touches small rural K-12 districts that have at least 90 students in attendance or sit 30 miles or more by bus from the nearest high school district. Those districts get a larger basic allotment from the state starting September 1, 2025, while the K-8 and K-6 floors stay the same.
