Summary
Complainants get an in-person hearing and an oral argument.
The bill requires every school board's complaint-hearing process to hold hearings in person and to let the person complaining, or their representative, make an oral argument. It touches school district staff, students, parents and members of the public who bring complaints, and the boards that hear them. Boards must update their complaint rules as soon as practicable after September 1, 2025, so complainants can no longer be limited to written-only or remote hearings.
