Summary

TEA posts a yearly report on how attendance credit money was spent.

The bill orders the Texas Education Agency to build a system that tracks how money from recapture payments, called attendance credit purchases, is actually used. It also requires the agency to post a yearly report online showing how that money was spent, including how much went to wealth equalization. School districts that pay recapture and taxpayers who want to follow that money get a public accounting starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
