Summary

Counties of 600,000 or more need 250 voters, up from 15.

This bill changes how many registered voters must sign a written request to force a signature verification committee in the general election for state and county officers. Counties under 600,000 people still need at least 15 voters, while counties of 600,000 or more would need at least 250 voters. In large counties it becomes harder for voters to trigger a committee that checks mail ballot signatures, and the October 1 deadline and the received-by-mail rule stay the same.
