Summary

Private school staff report like public school staff, child abuse included.

The bill takes every rule that makes public school districts and their staff report alleged employee misconduct to law enforcement and applies those same rules to private schools. It reaches private school administrators and employees, who are treated as if they were public school staff for these reporting duties, including the duty to report child abuse or neglect. Starting September 1, 2025, private schools face the same law enforcement reporting obligations as public districts when an employee is accused of misconduct.
