Bill text, introduced version (I)

The bill's only operative verbs are 'may': the commission may establish initiatives, may collaborate, and the executive commissioner may adopt rules. It creates no duty, no deadline, no penalty, and no appropriation.

Summary

The commission may start initiatives. No duty, no deadline, no penalty, no money.

The bill adds a new chapter letting the Health and Human Services Commission start public health initiatives such as studies, pilot programs, or data collection efforts, including looking at emerging treatments and therapies. It touches the commission, its executive commissioner, and any universities, research groups, or private entities the commission chooses to work with. Every power is optional and nothing is required, funded, or due by any date, so nothing changes on the ground unless the commission decides to act.
