Summary

Following the policy, not just putting it on paper.

The bill says that whenever state law requires a school to adopt a policy, the school must also follow that policy, not just put it on paper. It covers regular school districts, home-rule districts, campus charter schools and open-enrollment charter schools, along with their boards and staff. On the ground, a required policy becomes a duty to act for the board and school personnel, starting immediately with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
