Summary

Skip the renewal under Article 65.058, lose the license automatically.

The bill extends the automatic driver's license revocation that already applies to registered sex offenders to people who must register under Chapter 65 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which the new section heading labels terrorists. Those registrants lose their license automatically if they fail to apply for renewal as required by Article 65.058. The bill also repeals one subsection of the driver's license chapter and one of the commercial driver's license chapter, and it takes effect September 1, 2025.
