Summary

Confidential information too, any time, not only during a protest.

The bill lets a county appraisal district get any information, including confidential information, that the comptroller gathers for a school district property value study in that district, at any time and not only during a protest. It also lets the appraisal district use that confidential information as evidence at hearings, including property owners' tax protests and appeals under the Tax Code. Property owners keep their right to get the comptroller's information when they protest the comptroller's finding, and the changes apply to requests received on or after the effective date.
