Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

No printed signature, no proof the old title was stamped.

The bill tells the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles it cannot demand two extra steps before accepting a title transfer document that was signed and sent electronically under the existing rules. The department may not require the electronic signature to be printed onto the document, and may not require proof that an old or replaced title was stamped invalid. Dealers, lenders and others who file title paperwork electronically get a simpler process, starting right away with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
