Summary

Both, instead of choosing one.

The bill requires anyone making a child abuse or neglect report to send it to both a local or state law enforcement agency and the state's child protective department, instead of choosing just one. When the alleged abuse happened in a facility run or licensed by a state agency, the reporter may also notify that agency, but in addition to the other two rather than instead of them. The bill also repeals Subsection (c) of the reporting section and takes effect September 1, 2025.
