Summary

Department of Criminal Justice staff: use it or keep it. Old balances too.

The bill changes what happens to unused comp time earned by Texas Department of Criminal Justice employees. Instead of losing comp time not used within 24 months, the employee gets it added to their vacation leave balance. This applies to comp time earned before, on, or after September 1, 2025, so existing balances are covered too.
