Summary

Agencies hand them out while the full application gets processed.

The bill requires state licensing agencies to promptly hand out a temporary license to military service members, veterans and military spouses who apply for an occupational license, while the agency processes the full application. It also requires a temporary license for service members and spouses licensed in another state who give notice to practice here, pending the agency's confirmation. The temporary license lasts until the agency decides or 180 days pass, whichever comes first, and agencies must write rules by December 1, 2025.
