The bill lets any Texas governmental body meet a legal duty to post notice on a bulletin board by using an electronic bulletin board instead, and it drops the old heading that tied this posting section to city governments. It also says an online meeting notice stays valid if the body tried in good faith to follow the notice rules and a technical problem beyond its control caused it to miss a requirement. City, county, school and other local bodies could rely more on online notice, and a glitch alone would not void a meeting notice.
