Summary

One credentialing board becomes several.

The bill widens the list of groups whose credentials count toward a Texas behavior analyst license. Today the law names only the Behavior Analyst Certification Board; the bill adds the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board and any other board accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute that the state department approves. Behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts credentialed by these other boards could qualify for licensure, starting immediately or on September 1, 2025.
