Summary

One-way route language becomes between language.

The bill rewrites the state's designated routes for heavy and oversize trucks running under permits issued by the port authority in a Texas border county, which in practice is the Port of Brownsville. It changes the routes from one-way 'from the bridge to the port' language to 'between' language, so permitted trucks can run both directions. It also adds new road options, including the East Loop Corridor, FM 511, State Highway 550 and State Highway 32, for trucks moving between the international bridges and the port.
