Summary

Anyone who asks gets a slot within three business days.

The bill requires the Department of Public Safety to offer every person who asks for a driver's license office appointment a chance to book one within three business days of the request. It touches every Texan who needs to visit a driver's license office and the department that runs those offices. Starting September 1, 2025, long appointment waits would no longer be allowed under the statute, and the department would have to find capacity to meet the three-day window.
