Summary
Occupancy limits can’t beat the ones in Property Code Sec. 92.010.
The bill bars property owners' associations from banning owners from renting out their homes on leases of at least six months. It also bars those associations from setting occupancy limits on rented homes stricter than the limits already in Property Code Sec. 92.010. Homeowners in HOA neighborhoods can rent their houses long-term without the HOA blocking it, starting immediately with a two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025.
