Summary

Section 2175.001(1)(C), gone. What it covers isn’t described.

The bill repeals one lettered paragraph, Section 2175.001(1)(C), from the Government Code definition of "assistance organization" used when the state gives away or disposes of surplus and salvage property. It touches whatever category of group that paragraph now covers, which the bill text does not describe, and the state agencies that hand out surplus property. That category would no longer count as an assistance organization, starting right away with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
