Summary

The judge picks the door. Prohibiting electioneering outside the zone becomes an offense!

The bill shrinks the 100-foot no-electioneering and no-loitering zone at polling places so that it is measured only from the one outside door the presiding judge designates as the single point of entry, not from any outside door. It also makes it an offense for a person, during voting, to prohibit electioneering outside that zone, including on the premises of the building where the polling place is located. Campaign workers get more room to campaign near other doors and on polling-place grounds, and election officials and others who try to stop them outside the zone face an offense starting September 1, 2025.
