Summary

Only where gates and flashing lights work.

The bill lets school bus drivers skip the required full stop at railroad crossings that have working gates and flashing lights. It touches school bus drivers, the districts and companies that run school buses, and the students who ride them. On the ground, buses would no longer have to stop at every gated crossing, only at crossings without both a working gate and flashing light, unless another exemption applies, starting September 1, 2025.
