The department spells out its services in the plan.
The bill requires family service plans in child protective cases to describe the services the state child welfare department will provide to parents, and requires those department services to finish at least 15 business days before the court's dismissal date for the case. It touches parents working a service plan to get their children back, the department that writes and delivers the plans, and courts handling these suits. On the ground, parents get a written list of promised services and a hard deadline for the department to deliver them before the case clock runs out, starting with plans created on or after September 1, 2025.
