relating to the calculation of average daily attendance for school districts providing certain full-day prekindergarten programs.

Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

The half-day cap goes away for eligible students.

The bill lets a school district count full days of attendance, instead of the half-day cap, for eligible pre-K students in a full-day program when it calculates average daily attendance for state funding. It touches school districts that run free, high-quality full-day pre-K for students who already qualify under state law. On the ground, those districts would draw more state school funding per pre-K student starting September 1, 2025.
