Summary

Lead, chromium, cadmium, at any concentration. Plus the full ingredient list.

The bill orders the state health commission to write rules making lipstick and lip gloss makers disclose any toxic metals, such as lead, chromium, cadmium, aluminum and manganese, at any concentration, plus a full ingredient list including fragrance, flavor and color additives. It touches manufacturers that sell lipstick or lip gloss and the people who buy those products. Labels and manufacturer websites would have to show these metals and ingredients once the rules are adopted after the September 1, 2025 effective date.
