Summary

Large signs in English, Spanish and any language 10 percent of staff speak.

The bill requires certain health care facilities to post large human trafficking warning signs, designed by the attorney general, in English, Spanish and any other language spoken by at least 10 percent of staff. It bars those facilities from punishing employees who report suspected trafficking in good faith, and it requires medical assistants to complete a state-approved trafficking training course, with at least one free option. Facilities must put up the signs and stop any retaliation, and medical assistants must finish the training on a schedule set by state rule, starting September 1, 2025.
