The bill stretches Medicaid coverage for women who qualified as pregnant women from the current 12 months after pregnancy to at least 24 months after the last month of pregnancy. It touches women on pregnancy Medicaid and the state health commission that runs the program. If federal approval is needed, the commission must ask for it and may hold off on the longer coverage until it gets it.
