Summary

Applies to each campus with an instructional facility under Section 46.001.

The bill rewrites the state rule that every school district campus must have an armed security officer on site during regular school hours. Under this version, the requirement applies to each district campus where an instructional facility, as defined in Section 46.001, is located. School boards still decide how many armed officers each campus gets, and the change starts with the 2025-2026 school year.
