Single-user bathrooms don’t count anymore either. No bathroom of any kind.
The bill changes the rule for where a public employer must let employees express breast milk, so that no bathroom of any kind counts as the required place. Right now the law only rules out multiple-user bathrooms, so a single-user bathroom can satisfy the duty. After September 1, 2025, public employers in Texas must provide a private, shielded space that is not a bathroom at all.
