Summary

The words tie to biological reproductive function, across Texas statutes.

The bill adds definitions of boy, girl, man, woman, male, female, father, mother and sex to the general definitions that apply across Texas statutes. It touches anyone governed by a Texas law that uses those words, since the definitions tie them to biological reproductive function. Starting September 1, 2025, those words in state law would be read by biological sex unless a specific statute says otherwise.
