Optional for districts. The State Board of Education supplies materials.
The bill lets Texas public school districts teach students about endometriosis and menstrual disorders in whatever grades and courses each district picks. It requires the State Board of Education to adopt a list of age-appropriate materials on symptoms, menstrual health, basic statistics, self-advocacy and treatment options, and to give those materials to any district that asks. Districts are not required to use the materials, so what students see depends on each local district's choice, starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
