Summary

Section 431.114 of the Government Code, gone.

The bill repeals Section 431.114 of the Government Code, the law that lets a commanding officer of the state militia ban the sale or exchange of guns, ammunition, or explosives. It touches state militia commanders and anyone who sells or trades arms, ammunition, or explosives in an area where that power could have been used. Once it takes effect, militia commanders lose that specific authority to halt those sales.
