Summary

Only where a city-county agreement hands the county that area.

The bill changes where a county may cancel a subdivision plat. Counties keep this power outside city limits and gain it inside a city's extraterritorial jurisdiction, the zone just outside city limits, when a city-county agreement assigns that area to the county or gives the county subdivision authority there. Landowners and counties in those ETJ areas covered by an agreement can now use the county cancellation process starting September 1, 2025.
