Summary

To the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.

The bill requires every health care provider in Texas to report each potential vaccine-related injury or adverse event in a patient they treat to the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. It touches doctors, nurses and other health care providers who treat patients after vaccination, and it directs the state health commission's executive commissioner to write the rules. On the ground, reporting to the federal system stops being optional and becomes a state-law duty starting September 1, 2025, though the bill sets no penalty for failing to report.
