Summary

Pedestrians on the sidewalk get crosswalk status at driveways.

The bill expands the Texas legal definition of a crosswalk to include the part of a driveway where a sidewalk running alongside a road crosses it. It touches pedestrians and drivers entering or leaving driveways across sidewalks. On the ground, those driveway crossings would get the same crosswalk treatment under traffic law that marked and intersection crosswalks already get.
