Summary

A fake sexual picture counts the same as a fake video.

The bill widens the existing Texas offense for sexual deep fake videos so it also covers fake still images and any other visual material. It touches anyone who knowingly makes or electronically shares fake sexual images of a real person without that person's consent. Starting September 1, 2025, a fake sexual picture is treated the same as a fake sexual video under this offense.
