Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

A certified cost estimate right next to the proposition.

The bill requires the secretary of state to prepare an estimate of what each proposed constitutional amendment would cost the state in the budget period when it takes effect. That estimate must be certified and printed on the ballot alongside the proposition's wording and number. Voters deciding constitutional amendments starting with elections ordered after September 1, 2025 would see a state cost figure on the ballot.
